OIL PAINTINGS

Contemporary Impressionistic landscape and floral paintings

Painting landscapes and flowers have always been my interest and mode of relaxation. In the last 12 years after I retired from my graphic designer carrier, I turned to oil medium. My inspiration flourished after my studio was built in 2004.

I love to paint nature. I feel its healing power. I am fascinated by the beauty and harmony nature can offer for observers, and I hope to reflect my enthusiasm on my vibrant canvases.
I want to reflect my optimism and delight in my surroundings.
I use radiant colors and bold, descriptive brush strokes to recreate the subject beyond naturalism. I love to describe compositional elements with curving, graphically strong and expressive brush strokes and melting hues. My paintings' intent to create an inviting and joyful experience for the viewer.

I photograph on a regular basic, so I use my collection of images for inspiration. I paint my flowers, the landscape around my Oak Brook home and scenes from my travels.  I look for harmony and simple beauty in my subjects.

DIGITAL ART

I call them "Digitized Emotions"

My digitally created art works integrate electronic media and traditional values of fine art. Elements of figures and nature blend into distinguished, harmonious color tones and textures translating forms to emotions .I use digital technology to create vibrant images of couples and women. The attractive, sensual figures in my work reveal my personal understanding of the connection between man and woman and the continuous/infinite struggle to find harmony in life. The figures are, in some way, extensions of my personality, but the simple and timeless settings suggest a more universal appeal. I use a similar approach with my flower imagery, combining fantasy with intense color ranges and flowing lines to recreate the spirit of the flower. In their robust blooms and writhing forms, they too evoke feelings of sensuality.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Travel and nature photography

Photography is my joy, my instant fulfillment of creativity, my memory and source of my many paintings.

In the recent years photography became more and more important for me. I like to capture how the light changes everything from dull to exciting, from unimportant to very significant. Photography is the process of observation, discovering elusive beauty, peacefulness, the extraordinary or just a mood around me. Time stops and flys at the same time as I explore life and the world with my camera.
